Milenco as a company has an excellent reputation for producing outstanding products. Its towing mirrors and wheelcamps for example, have won every genuine product test for years.
For 2007 Milenco have now completely raised the bar for Caravan Towing Mirrors. They have engineered and designed the ultimate towing mirror, the Aero. This mirror sets even higher standards for stability; vibration and vision even at high speeds.
The way the air flows around a vehicle can have an enormous effect on the towing mirror so Milenco developed their prototypes in a wind tunnel. Subsequent development vehicles included most everyday cars, a motor caravan, a Van, & 4 x 4's. Milenco's Engineers drove thousands of development miles in all conditions perfecting this design.
On the Aero Mirror, Milenco have also developed a totally new clamping mechanism. The clamp assembly screw threads are stainless steel running in brass thread inserts. The thumb wheels unique shape is easier to grip, therefore easier to turn. Anyone who has used any pre-existing towing mirror held by a clamping mechanism, can also see that the new clamping pads are at least four times larger than those used anywhere else. They also spread the load out better over the vehicle mirror, which means Milenco don't have to use straps.
At a time when dangerous towing mirrors are being sold from China, which have not been tested or approved to any standard, this is the first and currently only towing mirror approved to the very latest safety regulations in the UK.

Changes to the Law 2007. Directives 2003/97 and 2005/27.
From 26th January 2007, all new cars sold, may have towing mirrors project 25cm (10 inches) wider than the caravan. The law for older cars is still 20cm (8 inches).
When your caravan is wider then your car it is a legal requirement to fit towing mirrors.
