| A: Ensure the key is in the unlocked (horizontal position) as per instructions. Ensure left locking plate is aligned with right locking plate inside front cover. On certain sizes of wheels it may help to lift the front cover and right leg slightly, to align accurately. Check locking plates are not bent, damaged or dirty. If so clean and/or straighten to remove damage. |

| Q: I read Practical Caravan and spread towball grease over my wheelclamp |
04/10/2006 |
| A: This must be removed. To clean use a proprietary cleaner such as Jizer, Gunk, white spirits, thoroughly clean and polish with furniture polish. |
| Q: I have put grease in the lock |
04/10/2006 |
| A: Grease in the lock will cause the locks to fail. Milenco locks are precision engineered to give over 9 million key combinations. Grease can cause a dirty paste to form which will gum up inside the lock. Grease must be thoroughly removed from the lock. You can use a product such as WD40 to spray through the lock to remove grease. You can also use a jet washer to carefully remove dirt and debris from the lock. Once the grease has been removed the lock will continue to work reliably. In fact in 14 years we have never seen a lock that has stopped working, once cleaned. |
| Q: I have forced the wheelclamp together, and now it is jammed |
04/10/2006 |
| A: You must use an equal force to part the wheelclamp. It is best to take the left leg out first. If necessary use a soft mallet to tap the left leg out, tapping it below the front cover in a motion towards the left, this will not have damaged the wheelclamp. Reassemble following the instructions. |
